Rocker-turned-dance goddess Gwen Stefani was born Gwen Renee in 1969 to a Roman Catholic family in California. Gwen will probably be forever remembered as the lead singer of "No Doubt," a band which reached superstardom with the hit, Grammy-nominated, "Don't Speak," one of the songs that received massive airplay in 1996 and the band's most exalted single from their bestselling album, "Tragic Kingdom."

In 2004 she released her first solo album, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby.," the initials of which was used as the name of her very own fashion line, which became just as successful as her career away from her band. In 2006, she released a second album, "The Sweet Escape," with a first video ("Wind It Up") inspired by the musical, "The Sound of Music."
